One of the major multiplex theater chains, Shochiku Multiplex Theatres, will screen NINTAMA RANTARŌ:
INVINCIBLE MASTER OF THE DOKUTAKE NINJA by Masaya Fujimori (Revenger, Kemono Jihen) with English
subtitles from March 7th to 13th at its theaters in Tokyo (Shinjuku Piccadilly), Osaka (Namba Parks Cinema), and
Kyoto (MOVIX Kyoto). “Nintama” is a hugely popular TV series that has been airing on NHK since 1993. Now,
for the first time since 2011, it’s returning to the big screen—with the same beloved voice cast and animation
studio!

Story
At the Ninjutsu Academy, Doi teaches young ninjas known as “Nintama.” One day, he goes out for a battle
against a ninja from the rival clan, but vanishes without a trace. The Nintamas worry for Doi’s safety,
especially Kirimaru, a war orphan who lives with him. At the same time, the Academy receives troubling news
that their rivals at Dokutake Castle may be scheming something. The older ninjas infiltrate the castle to
investigate, but they are stopped by Tenki, whose face is identical to Doi.
